VCE MEDIA

In VCE Media students examine how and why the media constructs and reflects reality, and how audiences engage with, consume, read, create and produce media products. They develop the skills and knowledge to research media products and design their production in a variety of forms, including animation, video, film and television production, print layout, audio, photography, digital production and convergent or hybridised media.

Tavishek’s photographic series captures his mother getting ready for Diwali.

Top Designs 2021.

In its 21st year at Melbourne Museum, Top Designs 2021 brought together exceptional works from some of Victoria's most talented VCE students from 2020.

Tavishek was 1 of 95 student’s to have his work selected for this exhibition. Showcasing projects from VCE Media, Product Design and Technology, Theatre Studies, Systems Engineering, Visual Communication Design, VET Creative and Digital Media and VET Integrated Technologies.

Tavishek was also the 2021 recipient of the VCAA Board Appreciation Award for Top Designs. Each year the VCAA Board visit the Top Arts and Top Designs exhibitions and select one student’s work from each to receive the award. The award is based around the ‘Packing Room Prize’ associated with the Archibald competition in NSW, in that it is an award for a work that impressed the Board in one way or another, rather than as an award stemming from their expertise in the curriculum.
